How to Pick which Subject to Study at Oxford

By Ella Rickmansworth

A few quickfire questions to ask yourself:

  1. Which is your favourite school subject?

  2. Why do you like it so much?

  3. Which subject do you get the highest grades in?

  4. Which subject do you actually look into outside of school?

  5. Can you imagine studying this subject intensely for 2-3 years?

  6. Do you have a desired career path that a particular subject is essential for?

  7. Does the Oxford course for this subject excite you?

  8. Can you think of ways to SHOW your passion for this subject outside of the classroom?

  9. Have you done extra reading on this subject?

  10. What first sparked your interest in this subject? (Great way to start your personal statement!)

Good luck!
