TOG student ambassadors Rosie and Lucy tried out the newly refurbished The Oxford Blue, here is what they thought:
Last week I got the chance to check out the all new Oxford Blue in the Cowley area of Oxford. I was greeted by super friendly staff afront a quirky looking bar-restaurant and was very excited to get to try some of the food. As a severe dairy allergy sufferer I was delighted to see the menus clearly marked up with dietary warnings; it took a great deal of anxiety out the meal. I tried a mixed veggie pizza (with the best pizza dough I have ever had), garlic bread, shroom curry and a really flavoursome tomato and lentil dish. I have to say, everything was far beyond my expectations - absolutely delicious and very affordable! Oxford Blue is definitely going to be a go-to restaurant throughout my time left at Oxford!
The atmosphere was just right as it had the chilledness of a pub but still felt like you were going out for a nice meal. The pizzas were super tasty and there were some intriguing options on the menu including a pizza with sweet potato as a topping! The highlight for me was the mac and cheese, which was so cheesy and felt like a proper treat. We will definitely be returning during exam season for some much-craved pots of comfort food!
